Office Space Design with a Cultural Twist

The Huanyu Entertainment Art Center, designed by Eason Zhu, stands out with its focus on "inheritance and innovation, focus, and quality." Spanning across 2940m², this office space redefines the brand culture of the Tujia nationality, film, and television, while spreading traditional Chinese culture.

The design of the center is a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and traditional Chinese elements. The concise modern building serves as the backdrop for various spaces, including office areas, staff leisure spaces, enterprise culture spaces, and film and television hall spaces. Each space is meticulously planned to declare the brand's cultural identity and uphold the essence of Chinese cinema.

One of the key challenges in this design was incorporating traditional Chinese elements in a simple and modern way. The use of faux finishes, paper art, metal fixtures, acrylic, and other techniques helped create an immersive experience for visitors, allowing them to appreciate the different cultural styles of each dynasty.

The Huanyu Entertainment Art Center is not only a functional office space but also a testament to the rich heritage of Chinese dynasties. It showcases the brand's dedication to Chinese-style film and television dramas, which incorporate traditional craftsmanship in costume and prop design. The exhibition hall space reflects the traditional Wenhu, while the office space embodies the brand's temperament.

This exceptional design by Eason Zhu and the design team, including Qianlan Lu, Yeqing Feng, Yali Zhang, Evelyn Chen, Molly Yu, Xiaoxian Hu, and Apple Wu, was completed between December 2020 and July 2021. The project required extensive research to ensure the integration of traditional Chinese elements in a contemporary setting.

The Huanyu Entertainment Art Center has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This prestigious accolade celebrates designs that demonstrate resourcefulness, technical skill, and contribute to improving the quality of life.
